The internet audio stream for the Accent Radio Network is a SHOUTcast format. We recommend the installation of one of the following internet audio players to listen to the stream:

RECOMMENDED:
Nullsoft's WinAmp™ audio player.

It's available to download from our site by clicking here or by going to Nullsoft's WinAmp™ download page.

SECONDARY:
RealAudio's RealPlayer8™ audio player.

It's only available by going to their download site, filling in their registration form, and downloading and installing it from there.

General Installation Instructions for WinAmp™:

1. Click on the WinAmp™ icon above to download the program.

2. At the prompt:

  select "Save this program to disk", and press "OK".

3. Then at this prompt: 

  press the "desktop" button (circled in red), then press "OK".

4. When the file is completed downloading, minimize all programs to get to your desktop, then double-click on the program icon:

  to run the program.

5. At the first WinAmp™ setup screen, read the license agreement and press "Next" to continue.


6. Make sure all items are checked and press "Next" again.


7. When it asks you where to install, keep the default setting and press "Next" again.

8. You will then see the program install. When completed, it will pop up this screen:

  Leave all the defaults checked, select your internet connection type (typically the default - dial-up connection), and press "Next" again.

9. At the "User Information" screen, you can choose to either fill in the registration information, or

  skip it all together by clicking on the "Stop bugging me!" check-box and pressing the "Later" button.

10. The WinAmp™ program should be successfully installed.

Troubleshooting Tips:

1. If you are having problems with WinAmp™ not opening to play the audio stream, first try downloading the software again and reinstalling it. Use the defaults that it gives has during the installation (see above Installation Instructions).

2. If when clicking on the "Listen Live" link on the homepage, are getting a s creen like this:

Make sure that WinAmp™ is installed (with all it's defaults), and scroll down in that box, "highlight" the WINAMP program;
